- Is there anything I should be aware of before I sign up?
Yes. First, you should be over 18 years of age and a legal adult in your country. Second, be careful to avoid interruption during sign-up. If you stop in the middle of signing up, a ‘pending’ account will be made in the system. Once this account has been created, your email is put on file and if you try to sign-up again through the 'join' page, you will be directed to login to your already existing account. Once logged in, you can finish creating your subscription.
- If I sign up, will I be automatically billed each month/quarter/year?
Yes. You'll notice when you sign up that the billing is ‘recurring’. However, you can cancel at any time through your Paypal account and you will always receive the full time for which you paid.
For instance, if you are certain you only want to subscribe for one month, you can sign up one day, cancel the next, and you will still receive the full month’s subscription.
- What is included in my membership?
Becoming a member of yaoifix.com entitles you to full access to the story archives as well as guaranteed chapter updates each and every week!
You’ll also be eligible for monthly drawings for free comics and much more!

- What if I prefer to sign up with a money order, etc.?
If you can't or prefer not to use Paypal to subscribe, you can sign up by sending a money order or cash. To subscribe with a money order, head to your local post office (if you live in the States) and ask for a domestic m.o.. If you're outside the States, it's best to send cash, since I've gotten some international money orders I was unable to redeem. (If you're paying in foreign currency, let me know which and I'll send you the conversion rate.) Within 24 hrs of receiving your payment, I'll send you an email with your login information to give you immediate access to the site.

- I can't login. What should I do?
If you have any trouble logging in, head to the forum and check out the FAQs/ Troubleshooting section. The topic titled 'Login Issues' will walk you through the solutions. Please follow all the steps! Should you continue to have trouble, please contact Rin with the details of the problem (why the steps failed for you), along with your username and password.
- I forgot my username/ password! What should I do?
You can request your username and password be sent to your email by going to your member's account here. Please make certain there are no filters on your email account that would prohibit the email from reaching you before you make the request.
- I forgot my password and I am getting a message that my email is not on file when I try to request it. Why is this happening?
If you receive this message, don’t worry. It simply means your email isn't in the database because you signed up before we switched over to the new system. Your email may not be on file, but your account is still there. It's just an unfortunate oversight in the new system.
If this occurs, simply email your password request to Rin with 1) your name and 2) the email where you receive your update (usually the one you have on file with Paypal).
- What if I want to renew my current or canceled subscription?
Whether you want to renew an old subscription that was canceled or you have a current subscription that you would like to change (from monthly to quarterly, etc.) you can do so by going to your member's account here. If you are changing subscription types, please note that you must *cancel* your old subscription after starting the new one, to ensure that you are not double billed.
Note that access to your member's account is separate from the rest of the website and you will always be able to log into it, whether or not you have an active subscription. This account allows you to read old YF newsletters to see what stories have been updated and to renew or change your subscription at any time. Your username, password, and email are kept on file in this account as well, so that you can keep the same login even if you change or renew your subscription again and again.
- What if I want to change my username, password, or email?
All these changes can be made in your account by clicking on the My Account link on the Member's Home page, or by going here.
- I can't subscribe using my current email address because the system claims there is already an account existing with it. Why is this happening and what can I do?
There are two reasons you might receive this message. First, if you had a previous subscription with Yaoifix (even if it has been canceled), your account is still on file and you will need to log in to your account to create a new subscription. You can log in here.
Second, you may have started to sign up at one time, but didn’t finish the process. Even if the subscription isn’t fully completed, once your email is filed the system creates a ‘pending’ account. If this occurs, simply log in to the pending account here and finish creating your subscription.
- Why haven't I been receiving the weekly email newletter?
If you aren't receiving the weekly email updates and your account is up to date, it could be for several reasons. First, check that no emails have gone into your spam folder and add yaoifix[at]gmail.com to your address book. Then make sure there are no filters prohibiting group emails on your email account.
You can also double check that your email address is on file in the new system. (If you signed up before Oct. 2008 your email might not be on file.) Simply login here, and click on 'Change password/Edit profile' to add your email.

- Why can't I get into the forum with my username and password?
To login to the forum, you must register there (for free!) separately from the site. Being an YF member does not automatically register you in the forum.
- How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel a subscription, you do so directly through your Paypal account. Just login, find your last Yaoifix payment under 'history' and click on 'details'. This will take you to a page with a reference number near the top, click on that and it will bring you to a page with a cancellation option.
- If I cancel early, will my access be cut off immediately, or will I receive the full month/quarter/year?
You will always receive the full term for which you paid, regardless of how early in your subscription you chose to cancel. For instance, if you are certain you only want to subscribe for one month, you can sign up one day, cancel the next, and you will still receive the full month’s subscription.
