Paradise Club Update! Chapter 15!

Star-Crossed Update! Chapter 63!
Very happy to update Star-Crossed this week! Hope you'll enjoy Chapter 63!
Yaoi Con is over and I'm sad! I really, really want to thank everyone who came by the booth - especially those who purchased the books! It was very exciting to finally see some readers in person! And it's always nice to see MomsDarkSecret! XD The LA venue wasn't too bad either. It was by the waterfront and the staff at the hotel was very nice! It did seem smaller this year, though - which I guess isn't surprising because it's the first year in LA. I hope more people come next year though!

Society of the Scarlet Butterfly Update! Ch30!

Husbands for Peace Update! Ch47!
It's Twisted Hilarity's Husbands for Peace this week! Ch 47 brings us back to Vane at Brinald's and also Jovi at his party!
Got back from my travels as of last night! I haven't been to the east coast much and not to the south at all, so it was a really fun trip to D.C. and North Carolina! Reunited with some friends who also taught in Japan and we went to a hot springs town so we could get a private tub and be naked! Haha. If that's sounds weird, well, in Japan you're always naked in the hot springs, so it was normal for us! ;) Also got to sing some great folksy music with my friends who are in a band! It was a wonderful way to recharge! And big thanks to everyone for your patience with me getting back to your emails a little more slowly than usual while I was away!

Dreaming of the Void Update! Ch19!
We return to Daq and Tyh this week with ch19 of ID Locke's Dreaming of the Void! Enjoy!
Whew! After running around between plane tranfers, cars, and buses, the hubby and I are finally chillin' in North Carolina! It's very nice to have some time to unplug after rushing to get everything in place ahead of time for Yaoi Con- but it's been worth it! I've never explored the east coast much, so it's been lovely to get into the countryside and eat enjoy some Southern cookin'! XD Gonna go unplug again now!

Peter and the Wolf in the Vignettes Archive!
This week we debut our new guest author: llyzsm2!! (You can call her Sam!) We have her wonderful twist on the tale of Peter and the Wolf! This two-part tale can be found in the Vignettes archive and the second half will post Oct 12th (the weekend of Yaoi Con!), along with another lovely illustration from Yvonne Kew. I'll be posting the general update schedule for the next month on our Facebook page, if you're curious about what else is in store!
I'm so excited for our awesome new author! Sam is from the UK and I hope she'll do more fics for us in the future! It's always great to work with such cool people through YF! And I hope to meet even more at Yaoi Con! Before then, though, I'm going to be traveling a bit on the east coast to meet up with some friends (oddly enough, some of them are from the UK too! haha.) Star-Crossed Update! Ch62!
We drop in on Bredhe and Vali in Ch62 of Star-Crossed! This fic always takes a little extra effort because of it's length - but things are about to start moving pretty quickly! Also, the Aug raffle winner will be announced later this weekend in the forum!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! (in the US anyway! haha!) Me and the hubby went north of San Francisco to the beach to soak in the sun - and got fog and cold instead! :( Although the fog did make the rock formations around the beach look very spooky and pirate bay-like, so it was still fun! The rest of the week I was getting ahead on preparations for Yaoi Con, trudging through Dorm D edits (crossing my fingers I can get Vol1 done for Ycon!), and making sure everything is in place for while I'm away later this month traveling! So much is coming up! XD And I also have guests coming in next week- as if enough wasn't happening! But it's all good things, so I can't complain! Plus, vol7 of The Tyrant Who Falls in Love is coming out in mere days, so life is good! haha.

Husbands for Peace Update! Ch46!
For this week we have Twisted Hilarity's Husbands for Peace Chapter 46!
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer! The weather was gloomy this week in San Francisco, but I was busy anyway, trying to get ahead a bit since I'll be helping out with the J-Pop Summit in San Francisco's Japantown this weekend. If anyone is in the area, it should be a good time - fashion shows for Liz Lisa and H.Naoto, and an Evalgelion Pop-Up Museum! ;) In honor of the Japan-themed fest, I also attempted to make 'omurice' this week - and it actually came out really well! XD A small accomplishment I guess, but I was so proud! Haha.

Society of the Scarlet Butterfly Update! Interlude: Larkin & Rian!
The latest chapter of Society takes us back to when Larkin and Rian first met! I hope you'll enjoy this special interlude as you get to see how these two first started out! ;)
I'm very happy to say that I finished the cover and formatting for the paperback edition of Spoils of War so I'm just waiting to receive the proof and once I see it looks ok, I'll be stocking up on them to bring to Yaoi Con! I'm excited for the print version for Spoils since it includes the new illustration! XD This is the first time a print version will also have a pic inside! And if you can't make it to Y-con, you'll still be able to order it online! Now I have to see if I can get Boys of Dorm D ready for print in time for Y-con too! O.o So much to do! XD But this weekend I think I am going to take a little break and soak in some nature in the northern bay area. It'll be nice to be in heat again!

Star-Crossed Update! Ch61!
This week is chapter 61 of Star-Crossed! This is a nice long one to make up for the wait! ;)
I've officially submitted an application for a panel at Yaoi Con! XD I'm actually going to try to do 2 panels - we'll see how it goes!
I'm back from Toronto and have to say that it is *such* a great city! It reminds me of a smaller more bohemian Chicago. The weather was unusually hot and humid (which I adored!), the food was really good (although I didn't get a chance to eat poutine!), and the people were super nice! We got invited to a dress-up party from the neighbors of the house we were renting - though sadly we had to decline because the wedding I was attending was the next day! It was so lovely to see old friends, drink Bloody Ceasars (like a bloody mary but clamato juice instead of tamato), and just celebrate at the wedding though! I almost got to see ID Locke too! But our schedules didn't mesh. Definitely need more time next trip!

It's been a busy, busy week! So much going on with the Olympics and the kick-ass 'kiss-in' Chick-Fil-A protest! In my own little corner of the world, I've finished revising Spoils of War, so now just have to format it and it'll be ready for the presses! For those of you headed to Yaoi Con, you'll be able to pick up the paperback! And I'm so happy to have the revisions done before the weekend because I'm on a plane to Toronto for a wedding this weekend! Paradise Club Update! Ch13!
For this week's update we have Chapter 13 of Paradise Club in the Vignettes archive!
I was very excited this week to see that Yaoi Con opened up space for the Artist Alley! XD I've snagged a table, which means I will for sure be there selling paperback copies of X Marks the Spot, Captive, The Disciplinarian, and hopefully Spoils of War and one other title (haven't decided yet)! But just as exciting (at least for me!) is that the Olympics begin today!! I'm such an Olympic junkie! I *love* it! Which is why the set-up NBC has for viewing is so annoying! I usually don't have cable, and you'd think you could just watch it all online, right? But nope, to be able to watch the events online at NBC's page, you have to sign in with your cable or satellite provider! O.o Such crazy logic! Why not provide coverage for the people who don't have cable? Instead of just giving bonus coverage to those who do? *pout* Ah, well, someday these big companies will catch up and actually make better use of technology! In any case, I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and gets to watch some amazing athlets (those guys are *not* hard on the eyes!) and sit back and relax!

Society of the Scarlet Butterfly returns!!
After a much longer than anticipated hiatus, I'm very very happy to announce that Society of the Scarlet Butterfly has been *thoroughly* revised and updated with Chapter 28!
I know some of you have been waiting a long time for Society to return so I just wanted to thank everyone for their patience and for gently prodding me to get back to this story - which I now realize how much I missed! It was a labor of love going through the past 27 chapters and cleaning up the text and revising the spots I thought needed tweaking (huge thanks to my betas!) and then figuring out where exactly I wanted to go with this fic from here on out. But I have to say I'm pleased with how it's come out and I'm sooo excited to continue things from here! And of course if you're new to the site I hope you'll enjoy discovering this story!

Paradise Club Update! Ch12!

Now that I'm back in San Francicso without any travels plans (umm, til August at least!) I'm trying to catch up on some things. Seems like so many things are vying for my attention these days! I'm already trying to plan panels for Yaoi Con! XD It's hard to concentrate in this city - there's always so such happening at once! And now I have to find a new housemate, which is always so tricky here! :( Wish me luck! Til next week!

Husbands for Peace Update! Ch44!
It's Chapter 44 of Twisted Hilarity's Husbands for Peace this week! It's a delightful one involving Vane and Brinald! hehe!
I had a great time around Chicago and Wisconsin! It was really nice to be in hot, humid weather again! The hubby and I also got lucky with our rental car - a Fiat!! Omg, I loved it! And the gas milage is *crazy* good! (Had it for a week - and drove 4hrs up and back to Wisc. and only had to fill it up twice!) So it was a good vacation with warm weather and friends! And so much food! I put on nearly a pound a day! O.o Time to get back to my healthy California foods and do some yoga or something! haha
It was also nice to return home because I had Ch3 of Teahouse (if you haven't read it- do! teahousecomic.com) and Three Wolves Mountain manga waiting for me! The manga is a BL title by SuBLime and I was impressed with the quality of the manga- color insert, good translations, and really great choices in the mangaka they are bringing over. It's a new, small company so I'm all about supporting them!! Til next week!

I'm headed out of town to Chicago for (hopefully!) sun and warmth! (Though I really wouldn't mind a thunderstorm thrown in there - I miss them!) So I'll be a bit more unplugged than usual, but I'll still be around. Twisted and I will be working on edits for the next Husbands for Peace chapter and I'm looking forward to just relaxing and writing - and eating some yummy rich Midwest food! Haha. The hubby wants gyros and hot dogs; I'm looking forward to my favorite Chinese fried chicken and cream cheese stuffed cherry french toast! (Umm, not at the same time! haha.)

Star-Crossed Update! Ch59!!
Hi everyone! This week is Chapter 59 of Star-Crossed! Enjoy!
It's the start of a new month, which means today we did the manga raffle for everyone who reviewd a chapter in May! The winner has been announced in the forum under 'News'! And more good news - next week's update will be posted *early*! Most likely it will post Wed (maaaybe Tues!). I'll send the usual newsletter and announcement when it goes up! I'll be traveling to Chicago and Wisconsin next week so I want to unplug! Which will mean I may take a little longer to reply to emails than usual - but I will still be checking regularly!
Wow! Fanime was crazy busy - but crazy fun too! I got to see Twisted Hilarity and MonsDarkSecret (bought one of Secret's awesomely naughty books!), which was awesome! I also found someone who I'm going to commission a cosplay outfit from for Yaoi Con! And I've got some ideas for panels there too! Speaking of panels, Yaoi Con announced their guest of honor - she's the mangaka for Black Sun! I still haven't read that one yet - looked a little dark! But I think I'm going to have to before the con!

Back from Chicago and trying to catch up on writing! Can't believe April is almost over! I hope May will be a little more relaxed! Meanwhile I'll be hitting some movies at a film fest this weekend and getting an archery lesson! :D Can't wait! I've only ever done kyudo (Japanese zen archery - more akin to a ceremony than a sport!) so I'm excited to try Western archery now! I would imagine it's easier than the like eight foot bow used in kyudo!

I had a lovely week of sun and swimming in Arizona and thankfully returned to pretty good weather in San Francisco! (Just missed the rain!) I did manage to get some work done this week too! I'm so excited to say that a cover illustration for Spoils of War should be done by the end of the month - thanks to a wonderful new artist I found! XD Hope you'll look forward to it! Now I'm off to bed since I'm totally tired from having to get up for my 6am flight back to SF! O.o Oh, the joy of sleep!

The Red Hood conclusion! And Captive Ch3!
For this week's update we have the conclusion of The Red Hood! :D I have to thank all my lovely readers who encouraged me to continue this fic to its complete ending! Plus, this week is Ch3 of Captive (this one's dark guys!)! Both can be found in the Vignettes archive!

And now that The Red Hood has officially concluded, I'll be turning my attentions back to Society of the Scarlet Butterfly! Wow, April has barely begun and already it's shaping up to be a very, very busy month! But filled with lots of good stuff too! ;) I'll be headed to Arizona next week, hopefully will get to see Twisted Hilarity while I'm there! It'll be a very nice break from the cool San Fran weather to bask in the Arizona warmth!

Husbands for Peace, Ch42! And Captive Ch1&2!
This week we have Twisted Hilarity's Husbands for Peace Ch42! Also, this week begins the re-release of 'Captive', another older short story of mine that has been repolished with a new ending! This week you can find Ch1 and Ch2 of Captive in the Vignettes archive. Be warned that this fic is quite dark!
It's been a busy week! I've been in contact with several artists to commission new art for the site - starting with the Vignettes, which I'm excited to start getting more illustrations for! I also purchased a sewing machine and started working on quilting - and I just might have some anime-style quilts in time for Yaoi Con in the fall! XD We'll see! I love the idea of taking something traditional like quilting and using funky Japanese fabrics to make them fun! Oh! And if you'd like to be part of the next Skype chat in April, head over to the forum under 'news' - we're currently discussing the upcoming date and time! ;)

Star-Crossed Update, Ch57! And Bookends conclusion!
I'm happy to offer Ch57 of Star-Crossed this week! Also, you'll find Ch4 of the revision of Bookends in the Vignettes archive! Starting next week I will start re-posting 'Captive', which has some pretty significant changes from the original!
Heads up that at the end of the month, The Disciplinarian, Rites of Spring, and Wren in the Vigenttes archive will be temporarily taken down so that the lovely, clean, revised versions can replace them later this year!
This week was big for manga news! The new BL publisher, SuBLime announced several new titles, almost all of which are from my *favorite* mangaka: Nitta Youka, Hinako Takanga, and Bohra Naono!! If you don't know these artists, I highly suggest grabbing these when they are published this summer - or, hell, just pre-order them now! Can't say enough how wonderful these mangaka are! And I'm especially jazzed that these are being published in *print*, something that's an increasing rarity these days. I don't mind reading manga digitally, but there seems a much higher chance of censorship - as demonstrated once again by Amazon/ Kindle suspending all Ditigal Manga Inc titles recently (which consist largely of yaoi). I don't like the idea that titles I bought might disappear from my device because of a bigoted policy. Though I do understand that it is much more cost effective to publish titles digitally. In any case, I'm just happy to support a new, independently owned yaoi manga publisher like SuBLime! :)

The Dungeon Update! Ch6!

Lots going on this past week! I was able to see the film The Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom, a short documentary about the 2011 tsunami in Japan and the recovery. It was quite beautiful and moving - if you get the chance to see it I highly recommend it! I also saw a couple other films and planned to go to the Persian New Year celebration, but it got rained out! Oh well!

The Red Hood Update! Ch10!
For this week we have chpater 10 of The Red Hood in the Vignettes archive! And the revised version of Bookends, ch2 is now available to read as well!
I'm so excited because this week is the start of the Asian American Film Festival in San Francisco! And since many of the movies are playing in Japantown, I've given in and stopped by the bookstore more than once to buy a few titles! I was surprised that the store has certain manga titles that are out of print now, such as Your & My Secret. It's a very goofy story, but super cute and sort of yaoi in a round about way! And I've been steadily catching up with Tsubasa by Clamp too- which hopefully means I will get back to my poor, neglected Kuro/Fai fanfic soon!

For those of you who have been long-time members, you'll be familiar with these stories, but you might find a few new twists to them! Hope everyone has been having a wonderful week! I've been a busy bee, but taking lots of breaks to read the new volume of Tyrant Who Fell in Love manga and checkin out the Teahouse webcomic. There's so many good webcomics out these days! Starfighter is another favorite of mine as well - which some of you might know from my Twiiter feed! hehe. I've also been trying to enjoy the unseasonably nice SF weather! We have a backyard at our place (rare for San Francisco) and I've been letting myself get away from the computer to take in some sun or an occasional bonfire in the evening. It's going a long way to sooth my nerves as I work through my taxes! haha.

Right now, Bookends is only available via ebook - speaking of which, I announced this on FB and Twitter, but if anyone has skills at converting files to .pdf and .epub (with fonts embedded, etc.), there may be a free membership waiting for you if you can help YF get our ebooks formatted! ;)

Earlier this week I decided I needed to get away for a little a while (umm, I live with all BOYS - it's like being the only cat in a dog house! haha) so guess where I ended up? A treehouse! Yep, someone was renting out a treehouse on their property and it was awesome! Well, except for having to climb out of it at night to use the bathroom! Haha. But it was worth it! And I brought my kindle with me - it has finally won me over!

Earlier this week I decided I needed to get away for a little a while (umm, I live with all BOYS - it's like being the only cat in a dog house! haha) so guess where I ended up? A treehouse! Yep, someone was renting out a treehouse on their property and it was awesome! Well, except for having to climb out of it at night to use the bathroom! Haha. But it was worth it! And I brought my kindle with me - it has finally won me over!

Husbands for Peace Update! Ch40!

Although I'm not a huge fan of yakuza-themed yaoi, for some reason lately that's all I have been reading! Thanks to one of my wonderful readers, I've gotten hooked on the 'S' series yaoi novels. I'm usually not a fan of translated novels either, so it's such a rareity! Haha. I've also been following Nitta Youka's 'Kiss Ariki' manga. It's only available in emanga installments unfortunately - though that is most definitely better than nothing at all! I wonder if this trend will continue? It might even inspire a yakua story of my own!

I don't know why, but I've been buying a lot of plants lately. Me and plants don't usually get along (umm, they die on me!), but I've discovered succulents and 'air plants' and I'm in love with them! Water only 1-2 times a week you say? And less water is better than more? Oh, yeah, I can do that! It's nice to have greenery in the house too. They have a calming affect that is very nice for me lately after so much stress!

I want to give big hugs to everyone who has sent condolences. I really, really appreciate it!

Paradise Club Update! Ch9!

Dreaming of the Void Update! Ch11!
This week is Ch11 of ID Locke's Dreaming of the Void! Things are heating up!
Hope everyone is managing to have a relaxed holiday season! I've been missing some of the Japanese traditions around this time of year. One of the things I liked most about living there was that New Years was actually a family holiday. You could go visit a temple at midnight to hear the ringing of the large bell (108 times, to negate the 108 'sins' of the previous year), have hot drinks and eat fresh mochi! So I was jazzed when I stumbled upon a mochi-pounding demonstration in the city and got to eat yummy mochi! :D Hope it's a sign of a good year to come!

Star-Crossed Update! Ch54!
This week's update is Star-Crossed Ch54! Wow, this chapter totally ran off on it's own! It just kept going and I had to go with it, so my apologies for it getting out a tad late! Getting out such a long chapter this week was really a challenge since so much else was going on - a good friend of mine had an art show, and my hubby had his first big gig in San Francisco!! So exciting! The other bands were all good too and the drinks were pretty stiff, so I paid for my good time with a hangover this morning! Haha. Oh well! But now I finally got this chapter out and it's very late and I am gonna get into bed, snuggle with my cat, and sleep in tomorrow!

Dreaming of the Void Update! Ch10!

Happy Thanksgiving! And if you don't celebrate it, well, Happy Friday then! ;) Me and the roomies had a big gathering at the new place in San Fran, so that even though I didn't get to see family, I was able to hang with friends and eat lots and lots of food! Haha. And I think we have so many leftovers we'll be eatng them through the entire weekend, which is fine with me because I hate to cook! (Did I mention all the guys I lived with were the ones who cooked? All I did was eat!) Have a great weekend all!!

The Red Hood Update! Ch7!

I've been working the last week or so researching getting some of the stories out in print, so hopefully I'll have more details soon! And in between research and writing I've also been indulging in a bit of nostalgia for Japan. I gave in and had crepes in Japantown - matcha ice cream with anko, kuromitsu, and whipped creme! I also got some matcha fudge from a tea house...and then began to wonder why I was feeling so heavy! Haha. I guess I'll have to eat light next week! Oh, wait. It's Thanksgiving! Oh well! :P

As for myself, I'm enjoying finally getting to settle in a bit in San Francisco. It's lovely to travel, but I'm perfectly happy not having any plans to go anywhere for the next couple months! I'm looking forward to getting some projects done for the site and possibly getting involved in an art show. We'll see!

I missed a lot of the Halloween festivities this week, but I did make it to the 'Day of the Dead' event here in SF - I'd never been to something like it before and it was wonderful! Festive and fun, but still meaningful. Which was really nice.
Also, wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who inquired about my sick kitty! He's doing all right, but his kidneys are failing, so he will need an i.v. regularly for the rest of his days, however long that may be.

I've spent much of this week preparing for Yaoi con - can't believe it's next week already! Things seem to be coming together for the panel, and I'm looking forward to it - but sadly, my attention has been a bit distracted from Y-con since my cat hasn't been doing well since I got back from Europe. He's 20 this year but hasn't ever had any problems, other than losing his hearing. Lately, though, he doesn't seem to want to eat... So it's been a mix of emotions as I look forward to Y-con but am really worried about leaving my kitty since he's not well.

I'm back in the States and recovering from jetlag after going from Lodnon to Boston (with an overnight layover), then Boston to Denver (change of planes), then finally Denver to San Francisco! Whew! But it was worth it, since the trip was really wonderful and I got to see so many friends I hadn't seen in years! And as much as I miss them now, I do have to say that I'm very happy to be back on the West coast after London - where I feel everyone should be wearing a sign that says 'I am very busy and important'! Since that's the prevailing attitude. Yick. I don't know how my friends deal with it - they should just move here! hehe. Anyhow, it's nice to be back and I'm looking forward to chatting on Skype with everyone tomorrow! Hope you can make it!

Since the last update was a tad late, thought I'd post this one early! Especially since I'll be in a car most of the day tomorrow riding from Frankfurt to Berlin! Frankfurt is a big financial center in Germany and Europe so Berlin will probably have more fun things to offer, but I've still really enjoyed it here! Found a Japanese tea house/ bakery, sampled sweets at the market, and had a traditional Frankfurt meal of 'green sauce' (herbs, yogurt and mayo) with potatoes and schnitzel, plus apple wine! And of course it's just been good to visit with friends here. Hope everyone else is having a lovely week, wherever you are!

New Vignette! The Dungeon, Part 1!

Hello from London everyone! I'm still getting over my jetlag a bit, but it's been wonderful to see my friends here and get to places like St.Paul's Cathedral! Today we head down on a road trip to the south of the UK to a little inn to relax before Germany next week. As for site news, I've gotten confirmation that the YF panel for Yaoi Con went through! Stolen Away Epilogue!

Well, I am *almost* ready for my trip, which starts Monday! Woot! I'm very excited and just hoping that all the travel with go smoothly! Our first stop is London and I'm very happy that things seemed to have calmed down there! So crazy! In the meantime, I'm prepping and packing and making sure everything will run smoothly while I'm working on the road. ;) And as soon as I get back, Yaoi Con will be coming up (there might be a yaoifix panel!) and I'll be working on getting more ebooks out later this year along with some other new yummy tidbits to the site! Can't wait!

Dreaming of the Void Update! Ch7!
Hope you enjoy the update a little bit early this week! ;) It's Ch7 of ID Locke's Dreaming of the Void!
Very happy to have my mac back after a very interesting week - which included nakedness and puppetry, among other things! (You'll have to check facebook or twitter for details! hehe) This week I've been a bit bummed out realizing just how many mnaga companies have either gone under or dropped titles. :( Although at least there's hope with companies like the Digital Manga Guild, which actually seems to be trying to utilize the numerous fan groups who often produce better translations than major publishers! Here's hoping that some titles like Embracing Love and Cantrella get picked up again soon!

Husbands for Peace Update! Ch35!
This week's update is Twisted Hilarity's Husbands for Peace Ch35! I love this one!
Wow, moving is always a bit more complicated than you think, isn't it? Heh. Things are going fairly smoothly, though - just busy! And at least by next week I'll be settled!
Oh, for all you Teahouse fans, since I have to recoup expenses from moving - especially with my trip coming up in Sept. - I'm re-selling my Teahouse Special Editions CH1 & Ch2 for the *same* cost as the Teahouse site - $40. (Actually it's less, since I'm not asking extra for S+H.) I want to make sure no one thinks I'm trying to make a profit! I just want to recoup some costs and get the editions to other fans who'll enjoy them! :) (If you're wondering, the Special Editions include the artbook, signed print, pins, stickers, etc., but *don't* have the regular color comic, which can be ordered straight from Teahouse for $10.) If anyone is interested, just drop me a line. I should be able to mail them out lickity-split next week.

I have the exciting and daunting task coming up next week of packing and moving- yet again! Hopefully it won't be too stressful and then I can sit back and enjoy August in San Francisco!
Also, good news on the new comment system! It's up and running, so if you missed it on last week's update, you'll see it on this one! The older chapters will probably keep the same system, but on the new ones, you'll be able to read comments right at the bottom of the page, 'like' any comments you see, reply to someone else's etc! It's a small change but very exciting! And the monthly raffles will still be exclusive to those readers who leave comments, so I hope everyone will join in and this will make it even more fun to discuss the chapters!

Dreaming of the Void Update! Ch6!
This week's update is ID Locke's Dreaming of the Void Ch6!
Another eventful week! Now that our housing is all settled, the hubby booked our tickets for Europe in September! I'll be sure to have everyting set up so that updates will not be interrupted, though I may not be online as often during that time.
Also, I'm working on getting the Disqus system set up on the site for streaming comments on the chapters! :D (It's the system Teahouse and Starfighter use!) I was actually hoping to get it up for this week, but despite the fact it *seems* pretty simple, I must be missing a crucial step, because the darn thing is refusing to work! I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out by next week though! Very excited to impliment it!

Double Update! Sweetest Revenge Ch6!

I'm so excited! We finally found a house to rent in San Francisco! Woot! It's a great location, but will be a bit of a squeeze for four people (me, the hubby, and 2 of our friends - Ah, shared living! The truly SF experience! lol). Still, I'm just so happy to know where I'll be living next month! I'm not even daunted too much by the prospect of packing. Considering our last two moves were so huge, this should be cake! (At least I hope so!)

We've even got it in *2* formats!! So be careful when you purchase to make sure you get your preferred version - either just a .pdf file, or a file special for Kindles, iPads, etc! You can both versions here.
It feels *really* good to finally have this done! I planned to do so much more to raise funds for Japan, but unfortunately I've had some of my own family crisis to deal with in the last several months which has made things difficult. Perhaps things are on an upswing now though!

Where the heck did this week go?! Got back Monday and have already begun moving plans! Yep, that's right. I'm moving - *again*! lol. Those of you who have been with YF for a while probably know how often this has happened in the last couple years! Thankfully, rather than moving across continents or across the country, this is just a move across the bay! :) The hubby and I are looking for a house to rent with some friends right in the city, which should be pretty cool as long as we find the right spot. And hopefully soon! Even though the move shouldn't be as bad, I'd still like to get it done as quick as possible! That way I can finally try to get ahead with everything for the site...though that has been the plan for a while now! What do they say about the road paved with good intentions? O.o

Paradise Club Update! Ch6!
This week's *first* update is Paradise Club Ch6! The second update will be the next chapter of Stolen Away on Friday!
Things are bittersweet this week - been great to see my family and my in-laws in Chicago, but sad that we are preparing for my mother-in-law's second memorial service here. It has been challenging in a lot of ways, but the family is thankfully very supportive of one another! I'm working to keep myself busy and very happy to get a double update out this week! I hate setting aside stories for so long, so it's very nice to get back to them more frequently. I'll be getting back to Star-Crossed soon and Twisted is currently editing the next Husbands for Peace chapter too! Plus, the ebook is in the final stages and will probably be available later this week!
Guess you gotta take the good with the bad in life!

Stolen Away Update! Ch32!
This week's update is Stolen Away Ch32! So excited to get this chapter posted! It was so much fun getting back to this story. And as usual, the plot bunnies had their way and there will be at least one more chapter to come! These fics take on a life of their own and they just want to keep going! Haha.
I'm off to Chicago this weekend! Actually looking forward to some hot, humid weather! I love the Bay Area but I certainly won't mind warmer weather for a while! I should be able to be online as usual, so no worries there. I will miss my kitty at home though! Ah well!

So much news this week! First off, it's my birthday this weekend! Woot! Actually, May is also the month Yaoifix was born! Happy 5th! (I will not be telling you *my* age! lol) Also, in addition to the new Facebook page, I joined Twitter as well (as Rin Sparrow @ yaoifix)! And more good news - the ebook 'Quickies' should be ready for purchase by June! So excited!
Things have been so busy (aren't they always! haha) with friends in and out of town and the hubby and I making our own travel plans. We're heading to Chicagoland a week from today. Husbands for Peace Update! Ch32!
This week's update is Chapter 32 of Husbands for Peace by Twisted Hilarity!
Tomorrow our Skype chat is coming up already! I'll be discussing plans for the Japan fundraiser, upcoming plans for the site, and possibly the deliciousness of Vane's ass! haha. (It has been a popular topic in the past!) If you need any help getting set up on skype or finding the chat, just email me! The chat will start at 3pm pacific as usual (5pm central/ 6pm eastern).

Vignettes Update! Paradise Club Ch4!
This week's update is Chapter 4 of Paradise Club in the Vignettes archive!
I'm back in California now and re-charged after vacation! The rain followed me so I didn't get much sun - but since it kept the Disney crowds at bay, that was fine with me! haha.
As for the upcoming Japan relief fundraising auctions, it looks like Yayoi Neko (creator of the kick-ass BL comic Incubus and of the amazing Husbands for Peace illstrations!) may have a piece of original art to donate to the auction! I'll have more details on all this during next Saturday's online Skype chat! Email me or visit the forum for details if you'd like to join in!
And last but not least, the winner of the March manga raffle is 'lolitagirl88'! There was no email left with the story review, so I need the winner to email me, please! Good luck to everyone next month, and don't forget to drop a comment or two on the stories this month so you'll be entered into the next raffle!

Vignettes Update! Sweetest Revenge Ch4!
This week's update is Chapter 4 of The Sweetest Revenge in the Vignettes archive! Hope you enjoy it!
After weeks of rain and cold out in San Francisco, I'm headed to sunny Florida! I'll be going on a family trip to Disney World from the 27th to April 3rd, so I'll be offline turning that time as well. It's hard for me to unplug, but if I'm going to do it anywhere, Disney seems like the place!
When I return on the 3rd, I'll post the next update and reply to any emails. (If you have questions during the week, please refer to the FAQs.) During the first full week of April I'll also post info on the art auctions for fundraising for Japan, upcoming ebooks, etc! And you can look forward to more double updates in the month of April as well!

Stolen Away Update! Ch 31!
This week is Ch 31 of Stolen Away! Hope you enjoy it!
I'm sure everyone by now is aware of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that hit Japan last week. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has family and friends out in Japan, and YF would like to do what we can to help out. I'll be looking for items I can auction (such as artwork of the characters, etc.) for a fundraising raffle. Also, I'm putting together an ebook anthology of all the former oneshot fics from the site which will go up sometime in April, called 'Quickies'. All the profits from purchases of this ebook in the month of April will go directly to relief efforts in Japan. I'll have more details on this in a couple weeks. (Unfortunately, I'll be out of town starting next week until April 2nd.)
If anyone would like certain items put up for auction, or had other ideas for fundraising, drop me a line or head over and post in the forum.

Dreaming of the Void Premier! Chapter 1 & 2!
I'm happy to present the first two chapters of Dreaming of the Void by ID Locke in the Vignettes archive!
I was hoping to premier the story with its own archive, but posting the illustration was proving a bit tricky! It will definitely be up by the next time this story updates, though! If you want to see the illustration in the meantime, you can still find it on Facebook (search for 'yaoifix.com'). And since next week I'm not sure what to update yet, drop a comment to whatever story you'd like to see updated soon!

Paradise Club Update! Ch3!
The first of another double update this week- Ch3 of Paradise Club! You can find it in the Vignettes Archive.
I hope the start of March is treating everyone well and bringing some much needed warmer weather! I'll be announcing the raffle winner from February later on this week in the forum! I've also added some new manga reviews there, so if you haven't visited the forum in a while, this is a good week to check it out!
And as for the second update, it will be posted Friday and it will be the final installment of Hostage by MomsDarkSecret! It's so sad to see it end, but next week will start up Dreaming of the Void by ID Locke, so there is something to look forward to!
